I'm using Aptamil 2 formula for my 4 month old baby girl. We're travelling to Canada in two months time over the Christmas holidays. I'm wondering which brand of formula is similar match to Aptamil 2. Does anyone have any advice on this?

Thank you

Hi there,  I live in Canada, and used Enfamil for my son. I don't know anything about the brand you mentioned..but perhaps you could check out the website and compare the two....www.enfamil.com should give you something to go on....HTH

Hi,

I am not sure if this link will be of any help to you - but these are the formula's that are availabale in the US /Canada.

We travelled from the UK to South Africa when our DS was 5 months old for 3 weeks.  We did not want to switch brands while we were away, so we took, formula with us.

It was very bulky to pack - we took 3 tins, but it was worth it in the end, and when we came back we had a big amount of space to fill our case with all sorts of goddies ;D

Hope you have a fantastic time.

Hi

We were in Canada about a month ago - I'm not sure what type of formula would match yours, we use SMA here and ended up using Enfalac.  The main thing we noticed was that most of the formula had a really high iron content and made DD really constipated - poor thing was straining and crying out :'(.  We started out using one of the regular type brands and in the end hunted for the lowest iron content we could find.  At the time she was only getting one bottle per day (df) and bf the other feeds (she was 6months - 7months old).  She was also getting cereal at least once a day so I wasn't worried about the iron content generally.  If I was going again soon we would probably take a label with us or do a comparison of labels on the internet first.

Thank you all for your thoughts and advice. I'll do some comparisons of labels and see what matches best. It might be best to pack some formula with us. Will be in Canada for three weeks, so will have to take quite a bit!

We took 3 1/2 tins of formula with us, and that seemed to be enough, plus we had all the extra space when we came back to fill with all the goodies that we bought while we were away  :D
