He's taking an a.m. nap of about 1 to  1 hour and 30 minute nap and an early afternoon nap of about the same (usually slightly less) and for the past week or so we're having a really hard time putting him down for a little catnap at around 4:30-5:00 .  Which means... that he's up for about 3-4 hours before going to sleep by 7:30.  We've tried putting him to bed earlier - and it just doesn't happen.

Does anyone have any suggestions about what to do?? Is this the usual time (6-months) for our lo's to drop the catnap?? what do we do about such a long stretch of A time - since he's only able to handle up to 2 1/2 hours during the rest of the day??

any suggestions would be much appreciated.
