But if she still wakes after 1 hour in the afternoon, what would you do? Try to resettle? I thought Wake to Sleep was effective for lengthening naps???

Right, I understand that - but of course I'm referring to if she wakes up NOT happy.  She did get only a morning cap nap of about 30 minutes.  It still took her a while to settle down for her afternoon nap - I finally had to go in and help her soothe a little by patting her tummy briefly and then staying in the room until asleep. She's still asleep - I heard her fuss for a while at around 40 minutes into the nap but put herself back to sleep.

Yesterday was a very good nap day.  She slept 1 hour in the morning and a full 1.5 hours in the afternoon.  I think the trick was that I didn't try to stretch out the time putting her down either time.  I just went with it.  I heard that Dr. Wiessbluth says to put them down about 30 minutes before you think you should and that usually helps for longer naps.

This afternoon, she once again just got another hour and 15 minute nap (which was basically a 40 minute nap, she resettled for another 30 minutes) and didn't seem totally rested afterwards (cried upon waking and couldn't put herself back to sleep.

Yes, I think it's okay. A lot of times she only gets an hour afternoon nap. I just read that an hour and 15 minute afternoon nap is about average any way.  (from the FAQ section);

1 year old:
Night: 11.5 hours;
Day: 2.25 hours - 2 naps, 1 of 1 hour and 1 of 1.25 hours;
Total: 13.75 hours

We are still dealing with early wake-ups.  She seems to be consistently waking up at about 5:35 am.  I may try the wake to sleep method, but the time I'd do Wake to Sleep was another Ritual Wake-up of hers  (I think she's shed it though, because I haven't heard her wake at that time in a bit).
