Is DS trying to Drop Lunch or could it be Teeth?
« on: September 13, 2006, 15:05:25 pm »
DS is 9months old today and for the last 4 days he has not has his lunch feed.I can only get 2-4 mouth fulls in and thats it,he close his mouth and wont open it for anything. He isn't interested in Finger food, just looks at it,throws it on the floor and closes the mouth and he wont open it.

The rest of his meals,I can get in to him,but sometimes he fights it.He throws himself back against the back of the seat if he doesn't want it and grunts.

He has all the white spots on his gums up top but he has had them for a while. Are the teeth coming down or could it be something else?

I am flying to Australia in 3 weeks alone with DD who is 4 and DS and I really would like to have him back eating normally, the flight will be long and tiring enough without a Ds  cracking the s with his food :P :Pç

Any ideas or advice...

Thanks
Andrea...

Could you post your routine with amounts of food and bottles/bf?

Hi Natasha this is the routine I am working on now,But if you can offer any suggestions would be great?
We are heading to aus in 2.5 weeks and I need to have DS awake from his sleep before 3pm to pick DD up from school.

6-7am awake and bottle 210ml
6.30-7.30am breakfast baby cereal 7tsp.(all depends what time he wakes up)

11am lunch(depending how long of a sleep in the morning so could even bee 11.30am lunch) fruit
11.30/12noon 210ml bottle

2.30/3pm snack yogurt/fruit with cereal

5.30pm tea jar food
7pm 210ml

Ds is on jar food right now with the flight coming and when we arrive he will be until we get things sorted so am trying different things for him to be use too.He was on lumpy food for lunch and pureed but thick for tea,so he is having depending the full jar for both feeds...

Hope you can help...

Andrea...

P.s Ds just had a check up now and they weren't worried he wasn't having lunch,he has only gained 1 kilo in 3 months but his weight is 10kilos so i think that is why...

Andrea it is either teething or just simply a phase. My DD goes through phases where she won't eat much breakfast then a few weeks later it will be lunch then dinner. The onlt thing i can suggest is perhaps try moving lunch a little later say 12pm and see if he will eat it then.
PS. Where in Australia are you going to?

Was thinking of going back to what we were having today... lunch at 11.30 or 11.45am and the milk at 12.00 or 12.15...

We are having trouble with his bed time too,so it might be all related too...

We are in Bundaberg,Queensland...
Where are you?

Thank you
Andrea...
