Should I even worry about this?
« on: November 13, 2006, 18:25:23 pm »
Abby is 6 months old, and as recently taken to 45 min to 1 hour naps. She wakes up happy, so should I even worry about the fact that the naps are short? Thanks.

If she's happy and not having night wakings from it, no need to worry - unless you need a longer break as well! How long are her awake times? Perhaps her routine just needs a tweak?

Her A times are about 2-2.15 hours and she hasn't had many night wakings. Sometimes she wakes, but that is usually because she has rolled over and can't figure out how to get back. We flip her back over and she sleeps until 6:30-700. It just kinda messes up our EASY, since she doesn't say wake long enough to nap until her next feed. But, if it ain't broke.........

At 6 months you may want to try to extend A times to 2.5 hours... Extend slowly - maybe just 5-10 minutes every 3 days or the like...

LOL, thanks. After I posted that, she stayed awake only 1 hour 45 min, and needed another nap before her last feed. Ah well, this too shall pass right? I probably need more down time than she does! ;D
