Travelling, time change and bedtime
« on: November 04, 2006, 10:03:27 am »
I'll be travelling to France for three weeks and don't know what to do with my baby's routine.
France is just one hour ahead than the UK so should I adapt my baby's routine to the new time or just stick to UK time? So, I would still be putting him in bed at 7:30 which would be 8:30 in France...
I'm worried about coming back and having a baby waking up too early...

yikes, tough one. We just had the opposite, went to uk for a week (from italy). My advice would be stick to the local time, it makes it easier on you and dotn worry too much they easily (scuse the pun) slip back into their routine if it was well established!

I agree with the PP.

When we went to South Africa, they were 2 hours ahead of us in the UK, and we started our day on the South African time - so that he would fall into a good schedule.

When we went back to the UK it was a little more difficult, but he quickly fell back into a routine within a few days.
