i've done it all wrong?!

my lo (51/2 months)doesn't usually eye rub until after 5pm.  he will get a little fussy during an activity before rubbing or yawning.  I have just been going up so that we start napping at 5pm (ie in chair with lights out and white noise on).  Today we started at 4:30 (he woke at 2:45 from previous nap) nd he fell asleep within 10min , but then woke after 10min and wide awake.

DS is 7months now and he still can't usually last till 5pm - today it was just 4:45 and I had actually worked a bit to keep him up that long. Generally it's about 4:50-55. Every LO is a bit different so you can use the suggested routines as a guide and it's just up to trial and error to see how you need to tweak it for your own baby. Of course the tweaking never seems to stop cos just as you get it sorted they get older and develop a bit so the darned goal posts keep shifting!!!
