11:25pm...started putting him down at 9:30
« on: November 17, 2006, 07:12:39 am »
this has never happened to me before and I don't know what the deal is.  I have been trying to put my 10 week old son down since 9:30.  i would hold him at my shoulder, he would start to calm down he would be in his crib and I was shh/patting him and his eyes would start to close then he would start to wimper, then cry.  we would start the whole thing over again.  i did it about 5 times then said to my DH your turn and he came in and tried for a while.  I was supposed to DF him at 10:30 so when that time came I fed him.  he started the whole thing again shortly after and it is still going.  we haver given him Gas drops, tried to burp him, done all we can think about the cycle just keeps going.  any suggestions?

yeah, it was just a one night thing.  he usually doesn't cry at all when we put him down for night sleep.  He had only been up a little while.  long enough to eat and take a bath.  I guess it was just a hard day for him. But I am working on his day sleep.  that is the hard thing.  I hear it is one or the other.
