Should I wake LO from naps or forgo to keep routine?
« on: December 08, 2006, 21:00:01 pm »
Seems like things are starting to change now at 11 weeks....

Should one wake the Lo from his naps to preserve the schedule for the rest of the naps for the day and the remaining night and the feeds?
I know the half hour swing to sleep is ok if he really needs the nap, but it seems like my afternoon (last nap) is getting later and closer to bed time.
Although, last night he napped from 4:30 to 5:45 oar so he stirred and I went in an got him. Kinda panicked when I saw the time. However, he did take 2 oz and stayed awake till 7, than we had a bath and BOOM he was out till 11pm.  This is the longest  stretch we ever get. Still wakes at night to feed.

Thoughts?

I have tried both letting him sleep if he really needs it and waking him, however it does not really seem to make a difference with the night feeds.  Today I woke him after after a long nap and he only wanted 3 oz of formula and would not take anymore.  I tried to offer more after 10 and 20 mins andhe refused. I tried to burp him again and boom - he sure did. Finally I tried to feed him again approx 45 mins and he took only half oz..
and did not drain bottle.  Still working on figuring out how to stretch to 3.5 EASY and keep naps and feeds correct. Lo is definitly a snacker by day but loves to eat at night!
