Dreamfeed for newborn?
« on: December 11, 2006, 20:56:24 pm »
Hi all

Just have a question about dreamfeeds.
My ds is almost 3 weeks old. I have been trying to implement a dreamfeed but I just can't seem to get it to work. He will not take anything in his mouth when he is asleep.  Is he to little yet?  Is it something that will come later on when he is older or is it just not going to work with him?

Thanks

The dreamfeed does not work for everyone - we never did dreamfeed.

How long have you been trying to implement a dreamfeed?  It can take upto a week for it to work.

How are you trying to do the dreamfeeed?

HI

I have been trying on and off since he came home from the hospital. If he is asleep at 10:00 pm I pick him up and and try to breastfeed him. I cannot get him to latch on at all, he has no problem feeding when he is awake and hungry. Should I just keep trying in the hopes that he will take to it?
