How old to sleep all thru the night??
« on: February 23, 2007, 14:15:33 pm »
Hi there- my 5mth daughter (who's on 4hr easy) has in the last few days refused to take her dreamfeed, which I've always done around half 11pm, and after which she'd sleep thru til wake up around half 6-7am. She was never a big df eater, only consistently having up to 3oz w/ no problems sleeping. Also, she'd sometimes wake up but that was never a problem.

I don't know whether it's coincidence but the first night that she refused was the first day that I'd introduced her to solids (rice cereal, about 1tsp during 11am feed). She usually takes in anywhere between 6-6oz for each feed so there's no problem w/ her eating. Is it possible that she really doesn't need the df?? The last 2 nights, I actually df-ed her at about 3am because I was afraid of her getting famished. But then again, I've heard that babies are able to sleep thru the whole night at that age... Does anyone's lo do that at 5mths? My lo goes to bed around 6.30-7pm so do you think I should let her sleep thru??
