The return of the short naps... argh!!!
« on: January 05, 2007, 00:00:56 am »
Help!  DS is 9 months and was a short napper from 2 mons - 6 mons... then he began taking 3 naps, 1 at least 1-2 hours and 2 30-40 min.  Now, he's back to all short naps.  Have tried to drop the cat nap at times, but still using it - seems necessary when other naps are short?!  Will dropping the catnap help other naps sort out?  His longer nap is using in the middle of the day, but sometimes in the a.m. and sometimes in the evening  - though I have decided to stop this... as he's had trouble sleeping at night if he has a longer cat nap... so, what suggestions do you have??  Is it time for PU/PD?  He doesn't use a paci - just his thumb and blankie.  Any thoughts would be appreciated!!! I'll type a "normal" schedule below.  He's sleeping 11-12 hrs at night - so I'm thinking 3 naps is too much during the day... but how do I get him thru on 2 short naps???

TIA,
Steph

I would suggest moving that second nap to 2/2.30pm and cut out the cat nap and aim for a slightly earlier bedtime.
