So where do I start - first of all I booboo'd really big time. Stacy gave great great advice - but I didn't listen and I fell back on props.
SO here's the issue:
5mnths 1 wk old,, weighs 16lbs
Popped 2 bottom teeth in the last week
Awake time is 2hrs 10mins (falls asleep within 1 minute)
Naps vary from 1 hr to 2 hrs (depending on teething or developmental milestones) She does not wake from her naps for her soother. For the last two weeks she has been taking 1.5 hour naps maximum.
Developmental milestones that happened in the last 2 wks -> sitting up, rolling both ways, discovered she can laugh and make people laugh. She starts blowing her lips (like when boys drive their cars around the floor and make that phbbmmmmmmmmm noise? lol..
)
Food - She is on 4 bottles a day - varies from 4-6oz per bottle. No solids as yet.
3-5am (time varies) bottle - varies from 2 - 6oz
She uses a soother (we gave it back after weaning because she was still crying for it 3 wks later)
She is swaddled. She breaks free from the swaddle and rips her soother out then gets into a laughing frenzy in the middle of the night (which by the way is not so funny to us). She will go back to sleep almost immediately after being reswaddled and given her soother.
Her typical schedule is something like this:
6:50- 7am - wake up and bottle
9-9:10am - i lay her down for nap - sleeping within a minute
the nap lasts from 1.5 hoursish to 2 hours
11am - bottle
12:40-1pm - lay down for nap
naps anywhere from 2-3 (depending on when laid down)
3pm - bottle
5pmISH - cat nap 45minutesISH
in bed by 7pm
she usually wakes by 9pm, we give her the soother, she falls back to sleep.
she wakes again by 11pm - give soother, back to sleep.
she wakes at 2:30ish - i feed her, give back soother, off to sleep.
wakes from 5-7am, again giving her soother, off to sleep.
7am - wakes up
IM SO EXHAUSTED. I know the soother and the swaddle are a problem. I don't know how to use PUPD. Why was she still crying for her soother after 3 wks? Could I have misintrepreted it??
Where do I start.
