EASY and vaccinations
« on: January 27, 2007, 03:20:48 am »
hey everyone! I'm not necessarily on the EASY routine like I want to be (we struggle with short naps), my 2-month-old had her first vaccinations today! I feel for her, since I think her body is aching from them. it's been a little tough to stick to the EASY routine today and might be tomorrow as well (we'll see how tonite goes!). but I'm just wondering, how your LO's do when they have a shake-up like vaccinations? I just wanted to hold her on my shoulder all day (and did for one nap)!

dd has always been fine for vaccinations. I tried to give her some Calpol when she had her first ones as a precaution but she just spat it out but she was fine anyway, no ill effects at all! It's hard not to worry, I think it is more traumatic for us than it is for them  ;)

Our DS did fine on vacation too.  His first vacation was all the way from the UK to South Africa with an 11 hour plane ride.  We were dreading it, and he took it in his stride.  I would just say that you try to stick to your routine as best you can, of course there are going to be days when this is not going to be so easy, and there is going to be AP involved, but you can always try and get that sorted the next day.

With regards to the needles.  We gave our DS some Calpol when he has his first set as he seemed very grizzly.  This did help him settle down a bit more.

Could you post your routine for us, with your current E, A, windown routine and S so that we can see if we can try and help you out with the short naps?

Hope that she settled well for you last night and that she is feeling a bit better today.
