Is our A time too short for a 12 week old?
« on: February 15, 2007, 04:52:43 am »
Sometimes my 12 week old seems ready to nap after only 1 hr of awake time. Should I be keeping her up a little bit longer? She is breast fed and on 3 hr easy, however she often only will nap for 30/45 minutes but sometimes an hour or 2 hours. I never know how long she is going to nap, but I always try to keep her on the 7,10,1,4,7 eating routine or close to it. I try to extend her naps, and sometimes it works and other times it does not.

Anyway, do you thing longer A time would help with some of the short naps or is the other way around where she is overtired? Thanks!

hi, usually 45 minutes nap means not enough A time, when 30 minutes one may suggest overtiredness...

can you post your current routine for us?

you can also find some info on A times for different ages in our FAQ section :)
