what's a bite size?

I have a 10 mth old and they say to start feeding bite size (cubed) pieces of food.  How big is a bite size pice for a baby?

Really depends on the babies age and skill. My son is 9 months, and as a general rule a bite size for him is about 1/2 the size of my thumb nail (1.4 the size for things that require more "chewing" or mainipulation.
