How long is your 2.5-year-old's nap?
« on: March 13, 2007, 20:59:51 pm »
Just want to get an idea of where everyone else's 2.5 year old is (or was) on naps.  Lilah naps 1.5-2 hours, but I almost always have to wake her, and she won't go down before 9 pm most nights.

No longer naps but around 3 months ago he was often sleeping 1-1.5 hours. Then naturally waking. This did mean not falling asleep before 8.30 though.

No longer naps now but before Christmas he has sleeping about 1.5-2 h. I would always wake him and he would be in bed by 7.30 but would wake up early in the mornings.
Now he sleeps in till about 7.30am  :)

My ds still naps 1.5-2 hours and sleeps about 10.5-11 hours at night. He's in bed by 8 and sleeps til 6:30 or 7. He went through a phase where I thought he might be starting to phase out the nap, but it passed and he's back to this schedule again. I'm praying it sticks around for a while longer.

No nap. Since she turned two. She is in bed at 6:30 pm, asleep by 7 and up between 7:15 and 7:30.

no more than 2 hours and no later than 2.30pm wake up.  If she skips a nap, she goes to bed at 6pm, if she naps, bed at 7pm.

it was usually around 2-2.5hrs.  we would put her to bed at 8pm, and yes, she usually was up for a while playing.  but she knew to stay in her room, and when she was tired she would cllimb into bed & go to sleep.

course, she also wasn't having to share a room with #2.  ;)

Ryan is older but this has been our nap time since he was 2yr old , it was at 2.5 yr old that i had to make sure he didn't sleep any later than 2.30pm or else getting himself off to sleep took over an hour and bedtime was getting later . Ryan naps 12.00 - 2.00 pm and bed at 7.30pm asleep by 8pm , if he naps till 2.30pm then bed at 8pm and asleep by 8.30pm .

Just cut back dd's nap from 2.5 hrs to 1.5 or 2:30 pm at latest so her bedtime can be around 8:30 pm.  Any later and she will still be awake at 9 pm.  Morning starts at 7 am.
