birthday cake
« on: March 25, 2007, 17:17:21 pm »
i'm sure this has been discussed before, but what kind of birthday cake did you give your little ones (for the first birthday)?
my lo is turning one soon and i'm fretting over what kind i should make. i'd like to try to draw a monkey on it with different colors of icing (as he is one heck of a monkey  ;D)
can the cake have chocolate in it? how do you make your own icing, and color it too? is it okay for him to have that? i know about the no nuts thing.
thanks for any suggestions!!!!

Claudia- Here's a thread I found... https://babywhispererforums.com/index.php?topic=54462.0

I'm not sure exactly what recipe I'm going to use.... but I did find a really cute turtle cup cake mold at Target.  When you place the cup cakes together, it makes a turtle shape.  You use icing to make it look like the turtle.  They might have something for a monkey...
