I haven't posted here in ages. I used BW methods with my first 2 and things went great. With my 3rd, I didn't use them *as* well, but still used most. It was nights that killed me. My other two would wake up often as well, with nightmares, or they were cold, or thirsty, you know how toddlers are! So, I just did what it took to survive. I'm still doing what it takes to survive.
And Kiersten is almost 1, and wakes up at least once a night, sometimes 2 or even 3. Dh will often try to get her back to sleep by rocking or patting or offering water or a combination. And sometimes it works. But most often, I have to nurse her. she doesn't necessarily nurse to sleep, just has to nurse before she'll sleep.
Here's what her day looks like:
all times approx of course
8 am wake, nurse
eat breakfast
10 or 10:15--nap
12:00 wake, nurse
Eat lunch
2:00 or 2:30 nap
4 or 4:30--wake, nurse
dinner
play, etc
8 or 8:30 bed
Then she'll either wake at 1 or so and 5 or so, or else wake around 3 and then 7 or so.
I'm not sure what to do. we give her a few minutes when she wakes up to let her fall back asleep (just fussing and making noise, never crying), but she rarely does. sometimes, but not often.
I'm tired and need sleep. help please!!
