Back to 2 short naps at 9 mo- do third nap, or bed early?

Well, we're still trying to figure this out. I was in denial for a little bit that I may need to shorten DD's morning nap to 1 hr. Today I tried for it, but I didn't set my alarm correctly (I needed a nap after DD woke 4 times last night). So, for the past couple of days, our day has been looking like this:
6:30/6:45 wake up (would like it to be 7)
9:00 - asleep
10:30 - awake
1:30 - asleep
2:00 - awake
5:00 - supper, bath, books, bf and lullabies
6:00 - bed
6:30 - asleep
I will try for an hour tomorrow and see how that works out. Right now the evenings seem hurried with all of the activities that need to happen, cooking supper and all that. No catnap is a relief, though because she had been very reluctant to take one for a while. Now, all of the night wakings are worrying me. I hope that she is getting enough sleep.

I think we may be making some progress in the nap department. DD took an hour in am (I wole her up) and an hour in pm for the past few days. There is still no catnap and she is going to bed anywhere between 6 and 7 depending on the times of her naps during the day. Is 2 hr total enough naps during the day? Is there a point where I should stop waking her in the am and seeing what happens?

I have been waking mine up from her morning nap for about 2 months now. I hate doing it & sometimes she'll wake on her own at 45mins or 1hr but if her nap is anything over 1hr then she gets a wake up call from me. I don't even like her sleeping a full hour cause sometimes thats enough to refresh her and have her take a short pm nap but lately i've been letting her sleep an hour cause she's stuck on 5am wake ups due to the time change (still working on it  ) and her pm nap is hardly ever over 1hr. It has been occasionally 1hr 20 (even 1hr 30mins) but at the moment we''re also doing 2hr nap in total during the day. She does 12hrs at night so I think she's making up for it there.

I have sometimes let her sleep in & it backfires big time so I am not prepared to experiment any more. Until she's on 1 nap I will wake her up every morning to protect the afternoon nap.

Hi all,
Just thought I'd give an update. Well, the short naps have again disappeared (YAYYYY). For the last 2 days, he slept over 2 hours in the am, and 1.5 in the pm, awaking from that last nap at 4:30 (Up for the day around 6:30 or so). I didn't have the heart to wake him, and it's worked out fine. He basically sleeps for eactly 14 hours/day, so with these long naps, it made bedtime a little later, and he just slept 10.25 hours at night.  Guess he knows what he's doing!  I also ended up switching him to 3 bottles and it's going GREAT!! I feel liberated, too!
