Issues with first "A" of the day...
« on: April 28, 2007, 15:48:43 pm »
I am in the process of transitioning my DS from a 3 hr EASY to a 4 hr EASY.  Lately, he has been waking up at 6:15 AM which is a bit early for me.  I'd like for the day to start at 7.  So I let him play quietly in his crib (he'll do this w/o crying) and then get him at 7 and feed him.  He can usually stay up for 2 hrs during A time.  Should I treat the day as if it starts at 7, or at 6:15 when he wakes up?

How do I help him to stay asleep until 7?  Or should I just deal with it and start his days at 6:15?

can you post your routine and more details re his night?

but in general I agree with yaya- just stick with 7am wake up time and if he's not crying let him be.

If my ds (almost 4 mo) wakes before my *preferred* time, I usually resettle him by reswaddling if he's out and giving him the paci.  I'm pretty sure he goes back to sleep b/c he cries if he's awake and wants up.  No playing quietly on his own here  ::).  He usually sticks to the same am naptime even if he wakes a little early.
