doing OK, but have a question
« on: May 03, 2007, 18:05:18 pm »
Hello Mari, Layla and everyone else.... We are doing pretty well with the training, it is going to be 3 weeks this weekend without the midnight bottle and that is a big deal.........we've had ups and downs (more downs to tell you the truth) but it is progress anyway.
My question is..... besides WI/WO what can I do to make Isabella really go back to sleep on her own, sometimes she does but it is not the regular way she handle her wakings... she always cry or scream when she Wup, even if it is mantra, sometimes she falls back immediately and I don't have to go in but most of the times she wants me to go in and stay there until she falls back to sleep, if I don't (WO) she gets really upset and wakes completely then it takes longer to sleep again, then, sometimes she sleeps and wakes every 10 or 15 minutes (I've noticed that happens when she is not comfortable wet, hot, cold, etc) of course I try to cover these things before going to bed as much as I can but the fact is that she still wakes ( most of the nights) several times, not asking for bottle anymore but still........ Any ideas?
                                                                                    Thanks        Lety

When I did WIWO with Alex I did it for bedtimes and night wakings.  I was concerned that she would get confused if I didn't do it for both.

Does she have a sippy of water?  She could be getting thirsty.

No I haven't put her a sippy because I'm afraid it will get on her way while sleeping, she already has 3 pacifiers, 1 bear, 1 puppy, 1 blankie ( and a partridge in a pear tree, ja, ja.....) and she already drinks lots of water during the day, we've had to change some diapers these past nights, besides I think she is not completely over the bottle and I don't want to switch the problem now to water, if I don't leave the sippy then she will be asking for it. There was one night at the beginning where I gave her water, she finished it and started crying for more....
I really don't know what to do about that. So regarding to WI/WO do you think I should do it even if it gets bad a few nights?                       Lety
