ahh!! i'm going to pull my hair out. sorry to take up so much of your when i'm sure there are mommies w/ worse problems..

ok after a great AM, this afternoon fell a part.. so confused...again...

E7:30 awake/bf
A 8:30 solids
S 10:00 put in crib - no crying, chewed on toy
Y  10:20 -12:30 alseep - no crying
E 12:30 BF
A
S 3pm - placed in crib, no crying...still awake 45 min later. playing in crib then start to fuss loudly

I checked on cade b/c he started crying. i  picked him and went ahead and nursed him. probaly should not have but wasn't thinkign very clearly. he started to fall alseep on the breast but woke him, walked around a bit, then place him back in crib. He was playing in crib now he is getting fussy.

So, I guess tonight we will try to get him to bed as early as possible b/c this nap is prob not going to happen. if he happens to falls asleep, I"ll just wake him in 45 min (it is now 4:15p).

This has never happened before. hope it is just some weird 6 mo thing! This tells me he needs longer A time? maybe for both AM and PM?

2.5 hours is a pretty average A time for 6 months, but he could be ready to extend. You could be gradually stretching to 3 hours over the course of the month. If he's dropped the catnap most days and is sleeping well at night without it (no crazy wakings from overtiredness) then that's good sign too.

Sounds like he has a lot going on developmentally too, which could disrupt sleep. If he was sleeping well before he will go back to that again in time.
