quick question - help!
« on: August 11, 2007, 15:04:53 pm »
My son is 2 months and I"m really trying to get him on EASY.
He woke at 8am today, and was fed.  he played and I layed him down at 9am - great!  but then he woke at 10am - and played until 10:40 when I just fed him.  what happens when they wake before it's time to eat?

Hi and welcome to the boards.

Was he playing with you or in the crib?  You can try to extend the nap or have some quiet A time (reading books, singing songs) in a dimly lit room until the next feed.  Keep in mind that he will need to go down for a nap much sooner the next cycle.

Proud to have breastfed for a combined total of 35 months

He played with me because he eas fussing and almost crying at 10 when he woke in his crib so i got him up.

so he ate at 10:40 and then we played together until 11:30 when i saw the first yawn.  i think he's touchy, he can't settle himself down and then really cries.  so i put him in his swing and now he is asleep.

is napping him in the swing a huge no-no at 8 weeks?  i feel like i should get him to sleep anyway i can to at least GET him on easy?  then worry about transitioning him to his crib as he get's older for naps?

what do you think?  thanks so much for the help and support.
