When to take them off formula
« on: August 13, 2007, 13:35:53 pm »
I was just wondering at what age children stop getting formula.  I know they are not supposed to have cows milk till a year, so I assume it would be after that, but when?

I did the transition slowly by mixing in 1oz of cow's milk into her formula. I did that my reducing her formula intake.

My dd would drink about 6oz of formula per bottle. So what I did was take away 1oz and put in 5oz formula. After 1 week, I reduced it to 4oz formula and 2 oz milk. Once I got to 2oz of formula a week. I did the complete switch over.

Good Luck
