How many days does he go to daycare?  Do they follow your schedule?  What time does he usually nap?
Do you think that an hour is enough?

How is he since starting daycare?  Does he seem happy, does he go in ok.  Is he particularly clingy since starting?

How is he during the night?

Sorry for all the questions, but yo know how nosey I am!  :P

Hugs Michelle,

Sorry you are going through a rough time.

Is DS only going to day care in the mornings and then naps at home or does he nap in nursery?

My DS took about a month to get into the swing of things once starting nursery - everything is just so exciting there, and he would not sleep well there or at home, but things did improve.

Hugs

sorry i should have posted more details!
he goes every morning supposed to stay till after lunch then nap at home but ATM I pick him up around 11 as he's taking a little longer to settle. so his routine is usually up at 7, lunch 11.45 nap 12.30  or 1ish for 1.5 hrs to 2hrs then bed at 7.30
yep he's very clingy since starting daycare and very defiant ( i know u can relate paula!!), quite cheeky and very worried even if i pop to the loo without telling himm so daycare has def AFFECTED him, but not sure why the sleep is so bad. he needs more nap sleep i can tell he's tired and he's waking much earlier 6ish :-\

Hugs Michelle.

Do you not perhaps think that he could be a bit overtired going down so late?  Thomas usually wakes at around 7:45 -8:15 in the mornings and is always in bed for a nap at 12:00 and he falls asleep no problem.

Might be worth trying a bit more of an earlier nap and see how things go.

Just thinking out loud.

Believe me 8 never used to be his wake up time.  It is only since he was wanting to go to bed later, and at the moment it fits into our routine better - especially with me being so heavily pregnant.

I understand what you are saying about daycare, and having to pick him up at a certain time.

Hmmm need to rack my brain, will let you know if I have any other ideas  :-*
