« on: October 18, 2007, 00:29:09 am »
So i am thinking this is a growth spurt?  My lo was on a great 3 hr schedule.  Now she is going only 2 hour between feeds for the past 2 days!!  Here is her day today...

e  4:40
a  none
s  4:50

e  700
a  none
s  715

e  930
a  diaper/clothing change
s  1030

e 1230
a  walk
s 1:20

e  320
a playmat
s  400

e  530
a  sit w/mommy  tummy time/bath  (getting ready to do that now)
s  600  (approx)

What am I doing wrong?  I am so frustrated today!!!

Hi there,

how old is your lo? That will help anyone determining if it;s a growth spurt or not.  Also are you concerned about the time between feeds or length of naps?

thanks
Aleesa.....

I was going to agree with your thoughts that it might be a growth spurt.  I know that my DS still does that and he's almost a year--but he'll go through spurts where he takes crazy long naps, wants to eat all the time--just stuff that is different than his normal routine (and he's been a fairly consistant child).  But it always sorts itself out in about a week, so I just figure its a growth spurt.

Let us know how you are doing.

I would not be worried about a small regression like that at that age.  As pp said, it is probably a growth spurt.

Much smoother day today.  I think it ws definately a growth spurt because today she was fine.  3 hour cycles, good feeds, good naps, good everything.  I even took her to the LC and did a weigh/feed/weigh to ensure their was nothing going on with my milk supply (I always worry).  She is taking in 3.6 oz in 7-8 minutes. So, no worries.  I can't tell you how much I appreciate all your advice and support.  Sometimes it is just comforting to know there is someone there that shares your concerns and has had similar experiences.  I can't thank all you enough!! :)
