do night wakings at certain times mean anything?
« on: October 18, 2007, 01:20:48 am »
Just wondering if there is any info out there that says that wakings at certain times of night mean something.  My 2.75 DD has been waking at night for the last couple months - randomly, but mostly at the 4 hr sleep cycle transitions.  So i've concluded that she just has trouble getting through those transitions on her own.  Something that we either need to work on somehow or something that will pass when she gets a little older.  Now these past couple nights she's been waking around 9:15 - not even 2 hrs before she goes to sleep.  That has been the only waking.  Just random.  But wondered if there was any insight out there.  I feel like I've been learning some of these insights too late lately!  LIke how much night waking is tied to the need to rearrange the day...I wish i would have been more on top of that one w/ my 10 month old DD these past couple months!
thanks!!

I know with DD if she wakes shortly after going to bed (within1-2 hrs) then its a sign of overtiredness for her.so usually the next day i usually give either a slightly longer nap or earlier bedtime.

Makes sense....I'm in the middle of trying to figure out exactly how much sleep she needs...so maybe that's it.
thanks!
