lost in the routine..
« on: October 26, 2007, 18:26:45 pm »
i don't know what my routine should look like anymore.
My lo is seven months and things are just getting worst and worst.
i have been trying to get her on a routine since s he has been born and has not yet succeded.

I find some info confusing.
I saw a routine posted on here where in the morning they would be kept up for 4 hours but only for 2 h1/2 in the afternoon.

she has now starting eating in th night again so that doesn't help the routine.
I will try to get that back on track this week-end.
Her morning nap is always good after being up for 3 hours, but the afternoon nap is always bonky.
I can't get her to feed properly at all in the day. She will only nurse very briefly and will not eat much solid food.

I look at peoples routine but usualy their lo's don't seem to stay up as much as mine so I don't know what to refer to.
She get up at about 7:30 Am and has milk and food and goes for a nap at 10:30.
milk and food at noon

nap at 3 or 3:30 but it's usualy a cat nap

thank you
Annick

Can you post your routine in an
E-
A-
S-
Y-
format?
I think you might be dealing with an overtired baby but if she isn't eating well during the day she might in fact be hungry.  Does she wake and want to eat?  Does she know how to go to sleep on her own?
At months an sample easy routine might look like this:
7:00 wake and eat
9:30 nap (1.5 hours)
1:30 nap (1.5 hours)
5:00 cat nap (30 min)
7:00 bedtime
or...because some babies around this age drop the cat nap
7:00 wake
10:00 nap (1.5 hours)
2:30 nap (1.5-2 hours)
7:00 bedtime

I hope this helps a bit. Post back with questions, ok?
