How can EASY really work?
« on: December 18, 2007, 18:26:29 pm »
I really want to do the EASY routine, but I find it to be bothersome and consuming my life.  It is all I can think of.  I don't want people to visit because they interfere, I don't even want grandparents interacting because it will interfere.  All I think about is feeding and napping and whether or not I am failing according to the word of the whisperer.  I just don't know how you adjust your life to this.  The four s's is impossible and I just want to know how to utilize this and actually make it work.

hcrumrn - I'll get someone with the *powers* to pop this over to the EASY section so you can get some assistance.  You really can do this and have a normal life (well, as normal as you can be with a baby/child!).  It's a routine not a schedule and the key is to listen to your baby (ie: watching cues) to see what she needs and react to those needs.

big hugs - you will find this will be very empowering.

hcrumrn - This seems to have gotten missed since the topic was moved.  How is it going for you now?  It's been about 10 days since you posted.

how old is your LO?

I do know what you mean.  I completely remember the weeks where it seemed I was ONLY in the nursery.  The work you put in now pays DIVIDENDS later!  now that my LO is 9 months, it is fantastic to have friends/family comment what a happy easy baby she is!

Post your other questions and we'll see what we can do to help you out!!!!

Totally agree with Alissa, and I can really remember feeling the same when implementing EASY with DD1.  But it really is worth it  :)

{{{{hugs}}}} to you.

It is so EASY to get obsessed with it all. I know I was but it has been so worth it in the end. how old is your LO?

I hope we can help you out, I found EASY made my life easier and I liked that I knew the routines my day would take, but then I already had a LO to fit in around. Is this your first baby? It is a huge change having a littl one to take care of.

let us know how you are getting on and of there is something we can help you with
