4 month old LATCH question

Hello!
Quick question...
My DD is almost 4 months...second child. Can't remember my first(DS) doing this...
At most feeds she pulls on and off and constantly looks around(I think she is realizing her surroundings)
BUT she is also kind of losing her latch. She will have hold, then slightly move her head back and like detach. ALso she kind of looks to the sides with my nipple in her mouth...OUCH!!
Is this a phase you think?? Anything I can do to prevent it from getting worse??!!!!!!

You are right - at 4 months they start to get WAY too interested in what's going on.  On / off / on / off / look up / smile / turn to a noise / remember they are feeding...... Yes and looking to the side with a nipple still in the mouth..OUCH! I agree.

This is EXACTLY what my DD does now too....She is one week shy of 4 months old!!  Hilarious, I could have written the post myself!!  I also don't remember my DS doing this either...but he probably did!

I ALWAYS wonder if she is getting enough.....

Is your little one sleeping thru the night?  Mine WAS until the latest growth spurt and now she is up TWICE every night!!!!!!  It is exhausting!!!

Funny! I know,I wonder if she is getting enough. Plus, she is starting to transition to 4 hour EASY, so who knows!

She was getting up twice a night, but last few nights just once. we shall see!! She slept thru only a few times in bassinet a while ago!!!
