Strange how you say that things have changed for you.

Our DD's routine has changed completely too.  She has gone from sleeping 2-3 hour naps, to not even taking 45 minutes.  It is really stressing me out.  And I end up having one cranky baby.

ds is 7 weeks old today was born on the 17th oct.
seems like they are both going through the change!
does your dd need more A time so that she then wants to sleep for an hour or two during the day?

DD was 6 weeks yesterday.

I really don't know.  I am thinking she may need less A time.  I am quite confused.  Going to see what tomorrow brings.

Paula - can you post your routine?

blondiecat- good for you on reading your LOs cues!  Sounds like a lot of sleep.  I always wondered what a routine would look like for an LO sleeping the high end of the scale!  especially as mine sleeps the low end!

Alissa,

Typically, our routine would be E, A of 1.25 hours, S up until the 3 hour mark, and then E again.  She was following it perfectly.

Now that we know the reason why she has fallen off the routine (with her being sick), as soon as she is feeling better we will work on routine again.  At the moment, I am letting her do exactly what she needs and using a lot of AP to comfort her.

The good news is, she is so young that you can easily undo most any AP that occurs now.  Take care of your LO.

The biggest thing you can do to help her is have her have a bit of A time after E.  Almost any thing else can be corrected at her early age!

Good luck!
