wake up time

Hello!
I have a few toddler questions. (15 month olds)

First, DD has been waking up early.  Ok it doesn't seem as early as some LO's but it's early to us!  She used to sleep till 7:30 and now she wakes at 6am.  We don't get her up till 7 though.  She fusses but doesn't CRY.  It's just frustrating though because of course it's hard for DH and I to sleep when she's fussing.

She had been going to bed at 6:45 or 7.  So recently we tried keeping her up till 7:30.  It was hard because she was tired!  Anyway though, it doesn't seem to be working.  She's still waking early.  It hasn't been quite a week though, so should we give it more time?

My next question:  When do kids get a little less fussy??  I feel bad asking this question because actually DD is so much fun and generally easy going.  It's just things like fussing when we try to keep her up just a little later.  Or in the morning I nurse her first thing.  If we try to change her or get her dressed first, then watch out!  Things like that... KWIM?
Thanks,
L

L,

Can you tell me please what her routine is like. Waking up earlier could be for several reasons... might be time to change her routine or it could be that she's teething or might be too much daytime sleep, or some toddlers just out of nowhere start waking up early!

Personally later bedtime has never ever worked here... unless my baby was well rested & her WHOLE day is shifted... so not just the bedtime but the morning nap, the afternoon nap & with it the bedtime (also the meals need to be shifted as well).. so if you are only putting her to bed later & nothing else is changing then I don't think it will work

Fussy - hmmm well I have to be honest... some babies just don't tolerate overtiredness/tiredness/hunger very well. My children are not happy staying up even 15mins later so on the days I miss "the window" ... there is fussiness & then I get an earlier than usual waking the next day ::). It might just be that she's really hungry... considering she's eaten for 12hrs & really wants her meal before she is changed or dressed.

Post your routine & hopefully we can work out the early waking issue :)
