Weaning
« on: March 15, 2008, 15:48:17 pm »
Hi has anybody had any odd symptoms when they weaned from BF?

I've had no engorgement or blocked ducts or anything like that and breasts feel fine and started weaning off gradually  10 days ago. DS is fine and happy.  But I feel very feverish and just worn out.  Dont think I'm ill so wondering if hormone changes can make you feel physically ill. Not feeling depressed and I would have thought psychological symptoms would have been more likely.

Thanks for any advice.

Hi Linds. How old is your DS?

I never had anything like that.  But there a million-and-one nasty viruses going round at the moment so it could be something of that nature.  Keep an eye on it for a few days and if it's still bothering you, get a check up.

Hope you feel better soon.

I ditto - how old is your baby.  i know you are keeping and eye out for things and yes, there are a number of winter bugs going round, but feeling feverish etc is a symptom of mastitis too.

Hope you start feeling better soon.
