My DS will be 13 months this week. He takes 2 naps a day... one around 9:00 and one around 1:30, and they vary from 45 minutes to 1 1/2 hours, depending on whether he is at home or at the sitters, whether he's teething, whether his allergies are bothering him, whether it's sunny in China, or whatever. Consistency is not his strong suit, if you get my drift... Anyway, my question is this: He starts at a "real" day care (3 days a week) the second week of August, so he will have just turned 15 months old. At the school in the room he'll be in, they only get one nap a day and it starts at 12:30. The kids there supposedly all sleep from 12:30 to 2 or 2:30. Do I/we start transistioning him to one nap a day now, 2 months before he is forced into that schedule, even though he's likely not ready? He's at an "in-home" type day care setting right now for 3 days a week.
