i have a 10 month old that used to nap beautifully, but lately he won't settle for naps w/o fussing first. i hate to hear him fussing and crying. i usually go in after 5 minutes, shh/pat, etc, leave, go in after 10 minutes and repeat this process. usually w/in 15 minutes he's asleep, but i HATE that he has to fuss before going to sleep. we do a long wind down routine of closing the blinds, diaper change in the dark w/ some soft lullaby's playing, reading, rocking and then i put him in his crib while he is still awake. he'll usually talk for a few minutes, but then it turns to fussing and sometimes all out crying and then w/in 5-10 minutes he's usually settled down. he has in the past 3 weeks learned to crawl, sit and pull up to standing so i think that is interfering w/ his ability to lay there still and fall asleep. i watch him on the video monitor and he just rolls around or crawls to all the corners of the crib trying to get comfortable. i was just curious if any other moms are having fussing issues w/ their babies. will this end or should i just expect a fight from here on out? once he falls asleep, the naps are still good...an 1-1.5 twice a day. just curious.
