A time getting shorter
« on: July 20, 2010, 16:58:42 pm »
Hi there. My 5.5 month old was doing really great with her A time - 2.25-2.5hrs. However, the last couple of days, she's tired and rubbing her eyes after 1.5hrs!!! What's going on here!? I"m hoping it's her upcoming 6 month growth spurt and she's needing the extra sleep ... but who knows! What to do? Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Any sign of illness or new little teeth on the way?

went to the doc today, ears look fine (she's been digging in them with her thumb!) and you can see the white bumbs at the front of her gums, not poking down/up though ... perhaps that's why!

Could be  :).

Just follow her lead for a few days and see what happens.

Sometimes LOs start showing a lot more boredom signs at this age as well to confuse us.

yes, will do. not sure about boredom though, as when she starts rubbing, the whining begins and no new activity works for more than 2 minutes.

Well if a new activity doesn't distract her I would agree it is genuine tiredness.
