Hi Katt, we did not end up at the zoo, due to our lovely english weather but we did go to an indoor aquarium which was a nice day out.  Maya was up at 6am this morning although last nt she did wake at around 12ish and she had a right temper on her!!! she was screaming mom over and over bouncing up and down pulling the railings little madam.  Anyway I do find the more I go in the more worked up she gets so i counted longer than prob reccommended and after about say a min or two she was calm, I went in a couple more times as she was still crying and then she just started babbling to herself so I went back to bed.  So I am sure it is only attention she is seeking.  Anyway today she fell asleep on the way there which was only at 9am and took 40 mins and then fell asleep on the way back which was 3pm for 40 mins I still had her in bed at 7pm and she was like a different child.  She lay there no prob no crying , I just walked out and left her and she just talked for ages and although she did not fall asleep until after 7.30pm I think this proves 1 she can fall asleep when not Ot and prob needs a shorted A time before bed.  Anyway lets see what tonight brings?
hope you had a good weekend
Rachael

Hi Rachael, that is great you got 2 naps yesterday, time in the car can really help sometimes can't it? You are right it does sound like M wants your attention or maybe is just checking you are around? Leorah is still OT and I just can't seem to fix it, she slept almost 1½ hours for her nap yesterday after having an EW so I though we would still put her to bed after 4½ hours but at 4hrs she started getting fussy and by bedtime she didn't want stories and was being a right madam and was screaming when DH left the room so he stayed for 10 mins then left but she took a good ½ an hour to settle and woke early again  :P She did have a waking around 1am but was half asleep and crying her teething cry so DH gave ger some medicine and she went straight back to sleep, it seems if she doesn't have medicine before bed she will wake around 1/2am, I just wish these damn molars would break through so I could see where we really are at with her sleeping.

Where abouts in the UK are you? The weather is miserable in Denmark too  ::) I hope you had a better night  :-*

We are in the midlands, in Staffordshire, the weather does not look to good for today either. Maya had a good night last night, she stirred at 3.15 but I did not have to go to her but she did wake at 5.30!!!! She was crying and I managed to settle her and leave the room hoping she might fall back to sleep but she just lay in her cot for around 40 mins chatting, which again is good but still not much sleep overall still.  I am wondering if she does only need 10 hrs at night as it does not seem to make much difference what happens in the day I rarely get longer than 10.  Even if she wakes for an hr in the night she adds the hour on in the morning but still usually equates to 10hrs.  I really have no idea? I know EW are normally a sign of OT but uf she was tired would she not have dropped back off at 5.30? and t cant be habitually as it is different times she wakes depending on what time she went to bed.  i hope she does need more as i cant see how o can make a 10 hr night work when she is not sleeping too good in the day it makes the day way too long.
Enjoy your day, we have my nieces 1st bday party today so I hope the weather stays ok so the kids can run around in the garden and wear theirselves out!!!

Hi Rachael, you could well be right about the fact she will only sleep a 10 hour night so I would recommend you have a word with Vicku as her daughter also sleeps a set amount at night and I know they have a good routine worked out but she had problems when she first transitioned.

Have a lovely time at the birthday party and I hope the weather holds out for you  ;)
