Only sleeping 1 hour max at a time - HELP
« on: August 15, 2008, 02:41:14 am »
I think my baby is having a growth spurt, he's 6 weeks old. I have been doing EASY from day one, and last week he finally had a day where he took 3 2 hours naps during the day and then the typical 45 min. Now all of a sudden he won't sleep for more then half and hour to hour at a time. Is this generally what happens during a growth spurt? and will he get back into the routine again? Help i am running on empty here!!!

At 6 weeks, your LO might be able to handle between 1 hour 15 and 1 hour 20 mins A time.  Would you like to post your routine and we'll see if it needs a tweak.

Growth spurts tend to last 5 days (ish)...and it normally requires more feeds rather than less sleeps...unless your LO is so hungry that he can't make it through his naps without waking for a feed.  Does any of this resonate with you?
