sorry, i guess that would help.
dd has been waking earlier too.  she usually wakes with her big sisters at around 6:30.  they play in the room, she in her crib until 7am.  then we have breakfast at around 7:30/7:45.  wash up, take siblings to school, go tot he the park or to a baby class.  then home around 11am for an early lunch, naptime around 11:30/11:45.  change diaper, close blinds, read 2 books, lie down, cuddle doggy and cover.  she goes to sleep sometimes with a scream and then pick her up put her down and she will go over to sleep.  BUT then anytime from 25 - 45 minutes later it is all screams!  then i will go in and pick her up and put her down once that settles i move a little away from the crib.  but she will go on hysterical.  today it lasted over an hour.  i would stand nearby and then she would scream and when she stands up i would go over, put her down, cover her and move away.  i don't knwo what to do and i have all of tracey's books but i can't find anything to help.
HELP!

:)

Are you starting the wind down at 1130/1145 - what time is she actually going to sleep most often?  How long has she had one nap?

Have you tried WI/WO?  How did you do it and how does that go?  How is she falling asleep at bedtime, what time is bedtime?  Is she waking at night at all?

Personally I think she may be too old for pupd, I'm not sure how you're physically doing that - it must be hard on your back and arms!!  I'd be curious to know the answer to these questions and maybe we can tweak your routine and talk some more about WI/WO or GW and getting you out of the sleep equation.  :)

Are her big sisters in the room when she is napping??

thanks for moving it, it has been a while since i have been on and i couldn't find toddler sleep!

after posting i went back to all the BW books and found what might be an issue . . . we are also having early morning wake ups . . . which i think we have to fix before i try to fix the naps . . . i am going to try to wake to sleep tomorrow to start . . .

anyhow, the wind down is starts about 10 minutes before nap and she falls asleep almost right away . . . at most 5 minutes.  until her recent sickness she was sleeping 2 hour naps at least, sometimes even 3 hours - she has been on EASY since a few weeks old and we have not really ever had a problem before with sleep.

even with this recent development, bedtime has not been an issue, although tonight i put her down at 6:50 since she only slept for 25 minutes and i had to do WI/WI because she was crying so.  yes i read in the solves all your problems book that i should be doing just PD.  (makes sense she is so heavy!)

the more i think about it the more i think she is over tired.  bed time is usually 7:30.  her sisters are not in the room at nap time as they are at school.  she has not been waking in the night but she has been crying at around 5:30 for the past couple of nights.  i am going to set my alarm for 4:30am and change her diaper in an attempt to break the sleep pattern.  wish me luck!!!
