He slept through but confused as to why?
« on: September 20, 2008, 09:16:57 am »
Jem slept through last night which is great BUT i don't know why.
I had my big plan last night which was if he woke at 4am i was going to not feed him until 6am. The reason for this is he seems to be going 6-7 hours following this 4am feed and i wanted to try and shift it so that it would be at night instead.
I also decided i would wake him at 7am every morning instead of letting him wake naturally.
I was dreading having 2 or 3 hours of being awake in the middle of the night so therefore i didn't sleep well at all but Jem slept through until 7am exactly. (Do you think someone just told him my plans? :D)

Don't get me wrong i am thrilled that he slept through but how do i get him to do it again, i am worried it was just a fluke.

I don't actually expect any answers as actually this is all quite confusing i think i just needed to write it down!

Vibes that he does it again would be appreciated...i need some sleep!

Jem knows what's good for him!  ;D

I am hoping DS is more consistent with waking at night (well NOT waking!).  He often wakes but isn't hungry, and moving him to his own room shortly will hopefully prevent him from seeing us and thinking it's party time   ::)

Hmmmm - I have a little "trick" with my LO.  After the dream feed I say "Good night, see you at 5:30!" and use my finger and gently write the time on his forehead.  ::)

Laugh all you want, but he always starts to stir at that time, and is awake exactly 30 minutes later.   ;D

We've got him sleeping through until 6am now.
