Sleep talking

Anyone got toddlers who do this?

DS has started it. Kinda cute really. I heard him last night talking about a 'man' but everybody is a man right now. Was kind of shouting at one point, he is VERY tired these days. He was definatley asleep though.

I hear Toby sometimes - odd words or phrases, last week DH found him sitting up in bed getting a drink but still asleep! I am a sleep talker too, especially if I am extra tired or stressed over something.

It is cute, but it wakes me up then I'm awake waiting for something to happen!

Us too! Maeve chats away in her sleep. A few night ago I heard her saying 'but daddy I want jelly now. Red jelly now !'. Very cute x

Yep, Dylan too. I heard a random "yay!!!" over the monitor about a week ago and it made me laugh ;D

DD does it quite a bit, the other day I heard her singing !!  Not a toddler anymore but still darling.  And I do notice she's sleepy a lot, multiple reasons for it but I wonder if her activity at night is one of them.  She's also a very active sleeper.

DS does it a lot...but then so do I!

I think sometimes it can be worse if they are OT.

both of mine do it...and so do DH and I.

Funny thing for me is listening to which lg they do it in. DH only sleeptalks in PL but seemingly I do both (prob cursing MIL in PL LOL).

For us its an OTd sign here too x

Haven't noticed E doing it yet, but M definitely does - and dh says that it makes a nice change from listening to me!  I do think it can be worse if they are OT, but I also think that there is just a developmental element - they are learning so much new stuff, I can see how it might be really difficult for them to switch off properly.

Oh yeah, Colin has always done it. It's much funnier since he's older and can really communicate ;D
