quick schedule question
« on: December 08, 2008, 14:27:20 pm »
I have a 15 month old who is down to one nap.  He has always been an early waker, especially when OT.

my question is, if he wakes at 5am, but I keep him in his crib until 6 by a combo of PU/PD (or just PD) and rubbing back etc... do I think start his rountine from 6 or from 5.  I'm trying to get him to sleep at least until 6, then nap would be at 11 for a couple of hrs and back to sleep about 6.30.  I'm just having a hard time imagining a schedule where is naps at 10 and back to sleep at 5.30.  with two other kids 5.30 is just not a realistic bed time

TIA

At 15 months I think he can go to nap later than 11.  Pushing his nap backwards should help you with a later bedtime, and later wake up too.

Thanks, I've actually tried a later nap, and if it's more than 5.5 hrs after wake up, then he doesn't sleep as long.  He's usually in bed by 6.30 and I really don't want to make that earlier, it's kind of tough at the moment to get dinner, bath, wind down in there as it is.  If he wakes at 6am it'll all good the schedule is fine (his sister has to be ready for school out the door at 7.30) but I'm just not sure what to do when he wakes at 5am
