Dropping catnap - when to feed now?
« on: January 18, 2009, 14:29:34 pm »
I read the FAQ about when and how to drop the catnap and move to 2 naps, this is great and DS seems to be able to do this the question is the second nap goes over the 3pm bottle or in our case 2.30pm bottle (as he goes to bed at 6.30pm)  I just wondered how and when am I supposed to do this feed.  Unfortunately solids are not well established due to digestion issues and I can't drop this bottle yet - any advice appreciated.

Thanks

I noticed as my DD got older she was going longer between bottles. If you're worried though that he'll wake from that nap hungry you could try giving him 1/2 a feeding before the nap and the other 1/2 when he wakes. Once the solids are a larger part of his diet, he'll easily be able to go longer between milk feeds and you'll be able to drop down to 3 bottles.
