Oh my, for a 7 week old that is way too much time up she is definatelty tired and need that sleep.
My daughter is 5 weeks and is barely able to be up for an hour. You have to make sure to look at your daughter for the sleepy cues, like yawning and the 7 miles stare, don't worry too much about the clock. When she is up you count your up time from the time she wakes to eat, so lets say she is up at 7am. If she is able to be up for an hour and a half (like the book) then she should be napping at 8:30 giving her a nap of 1:30hours until her next feed at 10.
My daughter is eating at 2.5 - 3 hours interval, she can be up anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour and 5 mins the max for her. We start the routine for naptime the second we see her yawn twice or the 7 miles stares. She sleeps until her next feed and sometimes we have to wake her. I only wake her if she is reaching the 3 hour because I want to make sure she sleeps at night.
She is needing more sleep and more food during the day.
For sleep, Pu\pd is too stimulating for her age, it is designed for babies 4 months and up. You should be using the shush -pat methode, where you lay her down on her side and pat her back rythmically all the while making a SHUSHHHHH sound like water running out of the faucet (or you could have white noise machine, easier on you, if tend to get dry mouth shushing, LOL). If she doens't calm down, pick her up over your shoulder and shush pat until she calms then lay her down and continue the shush pat, when she is focus on you start to reduce the shush and then the patting. I keep my hand on her until I see her small jolt, then I stay close by for another 5 to make sure she doens't need me.
Hope this helps,
Marty
ps. If you don't have it Tracy's third book explains well how to do the shush pat. For the routine, really look for those sleepy cues and make sure to feed at least every three hours so she is full and able to sleep a great night.
