Charm - I know its bonkers. But I don't count chickens.......and as you know the weekend is a law unto itself - although as you rightly pointed out it does give us alot more freedom.

Kirry - good for Hunter - that's about a perffect day isn't it? Well apart from the bedtime stuff.

I was thinking the other day that they are getting older these bubs, and so much more aware of what goes on that its not surprising it takes them longer to go to sleep - it takes us a while sometimes I guess - maybe nows the time to teach them it doesn't matter if they don't go straight to sleep as long as they are happy to put themselves to sleep and stay quietly in their cots until they do so!  ;D ;D ;D ;D And the same with the mornings hey? DP keeps asking when we can get him a clock, and teach him to tell the time so we can start the "not before 8am on the weekend" rule - LMAO!!

ROFL, tho my friends LO was around 20mths when they taught her to recognise the 7 on the clock for the mornings, that's not too far away right? (and then i'd be thinking about number 2 just in time to make it crazy again...)

so true on being more aware, hunter must have at least 20/30 words by now (i really should write them down) and has started lots of signs the last week (even obscure ones like crab that i've shown him twice), knows body parts, hot/cold, blows me away. so yeah not surprising that it takes longer for them to go to sleep, could he do it without the screaming and carrying on tho, LOL! naps he is out like a light in 1 min, max 5.

just jumping in for a moment since you're all wondering what happens now :)  We've decided that this thread has been really helpful, so we're continuing it as a support thread here on Toddler Sleep (and I've stickied it so it's there forever!).  Please do keep right on chatting over here:  http://babywhispererforums.com/index.php?topic=143940.0

and since we're at 30 pages now, I do need to lock this one, but please don't stop - you are all doing great in supporting each other!!!
