Hiccups while eating solids?

Just wondering if anyone has a LO who gets the hiccups part way through eating solids?  I just started my LO on rice cereal and he seems to burp and then get the hiccups after only a few spoonfuls.  I haven't heard of this before so was just wondering if anyone else has experienced it?

I have heard of it but have not experienced it.  Is your lo in discomfort when this happens?  If he seems fine, than I wouldn't worry too much about it.  Maybe offer a few sips of water to help?
