Even though DS is only 10 months, I post this on the toddler board - he is big as a 15 months old (has always been on the 91st-98th percentile) and eating like a 2-year old... He would never stop eating, if I didn't stop offering him food & snacks - what can I do?
A typical day, in terms of food:
7.30 180-200ml milk in bottle
8.30 porridge with half banana
12.00 homemade mashed or cut food (chicken/salmon, potato/rice/root veggies, veggies such as peas, broccoli, cauliflower etc)
15.00 180-200 ml milk
17.30 same as lunch
18.45 180-200 ml milk
(STTN and no night feeds since he was 7 weeks)
I try to eat when he has his main meals, and I do give him toast, carrot stick or other snack after a feed to make the meal last longer. But he eats so fast and cries bloody murder when he has finished his meal or snack. I try to distract him and give him things to play with after a meal, but when we are in the kithcen or in a restaurant, he doesn't calm down until he has something to eat on... How should I handle this never-satisfied, hungry baby?
