Morning Nap - needs feed first
« on: March 30, 2009, 13:43:55 pm »
HI there...new to the board.

My guy used to wake at 7am, eat, play, eat, play then nap around 10:30am - 11:30am.  (two naps a day).  He is getting tired earlier in the morning, so that I just fed him a bottle and he passed out during the feed (he breastfeeds in the morning).

He had appeared tired around 9am, but when i tried to put him down, he just cried and fussed.

What can I do to remedy this?  Am I doing something wrong or is he just in a transition phase?  FYI - he sleeps 9-10 hours straight during the night from about 9pm to 6:30am.

Thanks for your advice!!

Hi!

What is happening at 6:30am when he wakes? Will he take a feed and go back to sleep? Most LO's need an 11-12 hour night. So, the reason he's tired early in the morning may be because he hasn't really finished his night sleep. Does that make since?

How old is your LO? If you would like, you can post what a typical day looks like, or the last day or 2 if nothing is typical!

I agree that 9hours sleep at night is causing the morning tiredness. My lo only slept from 8:30-7:05 lastnight and has had to go down for a nap early as a result. Let us know how your day goes... x
