Number of naps
« on: April 05, 2009, 07:45:13 am »
I was wondering how many naps my 4 months old should be having. He usually only has really short naps (the good old 45min ones) and how ever hard I try to make them last longer he just won't go back to sleep. (a few days a week I get a 2 hour afternoon nap but not every day) so he has 4 naps a day, that includes his 30min catnap before bedtime. I have had a lot of help adjusting his daytime routine so I don't need help with that any more :)

How will I know when he is ready to move from 4-3 naps and how would I go about making the transition because of the short naps?

He is on 3-3.5hour easy

Thanks

I wouldn't worry about the nap changes until you get closer to that situation.  Your child may not always short nap, so by the time you're ready to drop a nap it may be a whole different ballgame!
